5 HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
3D, 3D, 3D. We kind of liked the crap out of this one. Great voicing from Jay and Gerard, great animation and tight storyline. Bottom-line? We loved it. 3D, 3D, 3D.
4 IRONMAN 2
What can I say, Mickey Rourke was Russian dude! But all the classy display from Downey Jr. and Rockwell (Oh Sam!) kind of did it for us. Somehow this sequel managed to keep us going on Stark fluid, decent plot and all.
Too hot for action, too serious for comedy; I love it! Kickass was unconventional and outside the rules but it still managed to pull it off. Great lead performance by Johnson. Somehow, the makers managed to bring the pain alive from the comics unlike The Losers. Ultra- violent and ultra- wicked, it made me hold my pee.
2 TOY STORY 3
The final chapter in the series for Buzz and Woody, I’ve got to admit it, this is one sequel I didn’t want to be made, but somehow it turned out great. TS3 impressed me because we kind of wanted to know what happened to the toys and they showed us with style. This blockbuster is our 2nd.
Come on, what did you think it would be? This twisted, mind- bending masterpiece kept us all at the edge of our seats. The story, the screenplay, the visual effects, were awesome. A dream inside a dream inside a dream? Dude I felt like I was dreaming when I was done. Great job Chris, you are our number 1.
Others we kind of liked in a horrible year for movies include Scott Pilgrim vs The World, The Expendables, Buried, The Other Guys and RED.
